Gutter Protection Solutions

Purpose-built to protect your home — and everything around it.

Stop Leaves + Blockages

Blocked gutters aren’t just a hassle — they can lead to serious property damage. When leaves and debris build up, water can overflow and seep into your roof, walls, or foundations. This increases the risk of leaks, mould, rot, and costly repairs.

Our mesh system is designed to stop 99% of debris from entering your gutters, keeping water flowing freely. That means no more risky ladder climbs, fewer maintenance calls, and long-term protection for your home.

The result: Clean, clear gutters all year round — and no nasty surprises during the next big storm.

Stop birds + rodents

Birds, rats, and possums love nesting in open gutters and downpipes. Unfortunately, that means blocked systems, bad smells, damage to your roof, and even health risks.

Our gutter protection creates a secure barrier that prevents pests from getting in — while still allowing full airflow and rainwater flow. With no access to nest or hide, birds and rodents move on quickly.

The result: No more scratching in your roof, no droppings in your gutters, and no unwanted guests making a home above yours

Improve water capture for tanks

Collecting clean rainwater is a smart, sustainable choice — but only if your gutters stay clean. Leaves, bird droppings, and roof debris can contaminate your tank water, clog filters, and reduce flow efficiency.

Our mesh system acts as a first line of defence, filtering out debris before it ever reaches your tank. That means cleaner water, less maintenance, and longer life for your filters and pumps.

The result: Better-quality tank water and a system that works smarter, not harder.

Reduces Insurance Risk

Insurance claims for water damage, roof leaks, and pest infestations can be stressful and costly. Blocked gutters are often a root cause — and they’re avoidable.

By keeping your gutters clear and functioning year-round, our system helps reduce the risk of damage, supports your property maintenance obligations, and can even be seen positively by insurers.

Below is a exclusion from a NZ Home Insurance Company
(* please check your home insurance policy)

1. Damage Caused Directly by Pests Isn’t Covered

If insects, rodents, slugs, snails, or other vermin (except possums) cause damage — for example:

  • Rats or mice chewing through your fascia or wiring
  • Birds nesting in gutters and blocking water flow
  • Snails or insects damaging insulation or downpipes

— your insurer will not pay to repair or replace the part of your home that the pests physically damaged.

This is standard because pest damage is considered a maintenance issue — something you can prevent with inspections, maintenance, and pest-proofing.

2. But Resulting Sudden Accidents Are Covered

If that pest damage causes a sudden and accidental event that damages other parts of your house, that event is usually covered.

For example:

  • Birds block a downpipe → heavy rain causes gutters to overflow → water floods into your lounge.
Your policy wouldn’t cover clearing the nest or fixing the blocked downpipe, but it would usually cover repairing the water damage inside.

In Plain English

  • No cover: The damage directly caused by pests themselves.
  • Example: rats chew through fascia boards or wiring — repairs aren’t covered.
  • Cover: Any sudden and accidental damage that happens as a consequence.
  • Example: the blocked gutter causes flooding — the water damage is usually covered, but clearing the blockage is on you.

How Four Seasons Gutter Protection Helps

This is exactly why gutter protection is such a smart investment: it stops pests and debris at the source, reducing the risk of damage that your insurer won’t cover.

  • Keeps vermin out — Stops rats, mice, birds, and insects from nesting in your gutters and roof cavity.
  • Prevents blockages — Keeps leaves and debris out so water flows freely and downpipes don’t overflow.
  • Protects your home’s structure — Reduces the chance of rot, chewed wiring, or damage to fascia and soffits.

Result: By installing our gutter mesh, you’re actively protecting your home from the very type of damage that insurance won’t pay to fix — giving you peace of mind and saving you money long-term.
